How to wash your human hair extensions

Caring for your hair extensions will help to keep them in top condition and it will help to extend the life of the hair.

Hair Extensions do not receive natural oils from your scalp so it is important to keep them in good condition by using a good quality shampoo and conditioner. Wash your hair extensions once a week and use a leave-in conditioner to help revive your hair.

Alcohol dries out your hair so keep your hair hydrated by using products with low levels of alcohol. Keep your hair wrapped up in bed by using a hair net or braiding your hair to prevent it from tangling and make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed.

Wet hair with luke warm water and then apply shampoo in a downward motion.

DO NOT SCRUB THE HAIR AS THAT CAN CAUSE TANGLING.

Rinse hair thoroughly.

Add conditioner and leave on for 5 minutes.

Detangle with a paddle brush or wide tooth comb and rinse hair again with luke warm water.

Leave to dry naturally or use a hair drier.
