When deciding whether to go for a human hair wig or synthetic wig. There are a number of things to consider
1. How long you wear the wig
2. Your hair length
3. Styling options
4. Cost
For short periods of hair loss e.g chemotherapy hair loss, a synthetic wig might work well for you. However if you wear a wig for longer periods of time, e.g Alopecia hair loss, then a human hair wig will last longer and look well for longer.
If you wear your hair long (past your shoulders), a human hair wig will look and feel better and be more manageable for you. If your hair style is short, a synthetic wig might be ideal as synthetic wigs do hold their style better but you have less flexibility in styling them while human hair wig can be styled in many ways using your heating tools.
A synthetic wig can last anything from 3 months to 6 months while a human hair wig can will last 6 to 8 months, depending on hair type and care.
Human hair wig prices tend to be double the price of a synthetic wig.
